Davinci resolve lite 9 tutorial
Used the Uninstaller on the disc image to remove the Resolve Lite 10.1 from the App store and reinstalled using BlackMagic's installer. I don't like when everything is done "behind the scenes".ĭownloaded Lite from Blackmagic's site.

Then I remembered that I had downloaded Resolve Lite from the Apple App store. Nor would it see XML files from Premiere CS6 or Blackmagic's own Tutorial XML project files. But Resolve 10.1 still wouldn't see them. So I figured the XML files were ok (even changing 1.3 to 1.2 with text editor). I tested the XML files from FCPX 10.1.1 from one eding station to another and they worked in their on environment.

There's some good work there.Import into DaVinci Resolve (full version) 10.1 Head on over to the GranolaTech YouTube channel to check out their work and their other tutorials. Not to mention that trackers in Resolve are absolutely top notch, so grading a moving subject should never be an issue.
#Davinci resolve lite 9 tutorial how to
Once you've got an idea of how to apply masks and create power windows within Resolve, the software becomes infinitely more powerful in regards to fixing all of the pesky color and luminance issues in your images. Many young and aspiring colorists tend to work in broad strokes with their color correction, simply making changes to the entire image. Although the creator of the video uses the color wheels to make these adjustments (for the most part), I've always found RGB curves to be the quickest and most efficient method for straightening out a wonky RGB parade.Īnother thing to mention is just how useful (and simple to use) the masking functions in Resolve are. With a quick glance at the RGB parade, it's very easy to see where adjustments need to be made. One of the key takeaways from this video is just how quick and simple Resolve makes it to correct subtle (or horrid) white balance issues, which is one of the largest problems with run-and-gun footage.
